Why Fish Is So Great For Dogs

High Quality

Protein

Fish is an excellent source of high-quality protein, which is essential for muscle development, repair, and overall growth in dogs.

Fatty fish like salmon, mackerel and sardines are rich in Omega-3s (EPA and DHA), benefiting a dog’s skin, coat, joints, and brain. They also relieve joint pain and inflammation, ideal for older dogs and those with arthritis.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Fish contains essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin D, vitamin B12, selenium, and phosphorus, which contribute to overall health and well-being in dogs.

Vitamins and Minerals

Fish is generally lower in saturated fats compared to other animal proteins like beef or pork. This can be beneficial for dogs that need to maintain a healthy weight or have specific dietary restrictions.

Low in Saturated Fat

Fish is often easier to digest than certain meat sources, making it a suitable protein option for dogs with sensitive stomachs or food allergies.
